Deep Fried Crispy Mid-Chicken Wing Recipe

We have tried to cook this deep fried mid-chicken wing with the simple ingredients given to us. To our surprise the chicken is very crispy and the aroma of chicken is amazing. As highly recommended by our contributor, we use butterfly brand to deep fry this chicken wing at that point of time. Sadly, we understand from Unilever, distributor of butterfly brand, that the company has stopped production. However, do feel free to try using other brands of corn flour.

Ingredients

1kg mid chicken wing
120g corn flour
2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
Dashes of pepper

Instructions

1. Defrost the chicken, rinse it with salt and drain away the water completely.
2. Mix corn flour, salt, egg and pepper in a big bowl.
3. Before frying the chicken, make sure that the oil is hot by putting in a wooden chopstick to test the temperature. If there is bubble around the chopstick, oil is ready to fry.
4. Coat the chicken into flour mixture and deep fry it in medium fire till brown.
5. Before taking out the fried chicken, turn the flame slightly bigger to make sure the oil in the chicken is being forced out. So, the chicken is not too oily.
