Stir-Fried Kang Kong Recipe

The elderly believed that leeches like to hide in kang kong stem. So, we will follow the way how the seniors rinse this particular vegetable. When you are using this stir-fried kang kong recipe, remember to cut the stems into half, wash it with salt and remove any leeches if you chance upon one.

Ingredients

  • 250g kang kong
  • 4 cloves smashed garlic
  • 2 pcs cut chili padi
  • 1 teaspoon soya sauce
  • 2 teaspoons oil

Instructions

  • 1. Cut away the roots and use a scissors to cut the stems into half.
  • 2. Wash the kang kong with salt at least three times.
  • 3. Cut the kang kong stems into 3 to 4 cm long.
  • 4. Heat up the pan with oil and stir-fry the garlic till slight brown.
  • 5. Add in the kang kong and chilli. Stir-fry till cook.
  • 6. Add soya sauce. Stir evenly.
  • 7. Serve
