Dry Laksa Goreng Recipe

The ingredients of cooking laksa with its spicy gravy and dry laksa goreng are similar. Both ways of eating laksa are equally delicious.

Ingredients

  • 300g Laksa noodles
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • ½ large finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove chopped garlic
  • handful of chopped laksa leaves
  • ½ cup coconut milk
  • 30g finely grounded dried prawns
  • 100g laksa paste
  • 8 fresh prawns (shelled and deveined)
  • 3 sliced fish cakes
  • 3 pieces tau pok (cut into strips)
  • 2 sliced hard-boiled egg
  • 80g bean sprout
  • 30ml water
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • dashes of pepper

Instructions

  • 1. Scald laksa noodles and bean sprout in hot water and drained.
  • 2. Heat oil in frying pan and fry the onions and garlic until fragrant.
  • 3. Add the dried prawns and fry till fragrant.
  • 4. Add in the laksa paste, coconut and water and fry for about 1 – 2 minutes.
  • 5. Add the fresh prawns, fish cake and tau pok and fry for about 3 minutes.
  • 6. Add in the laksa noodles and bean sprout, brown sugar, pepper and toss it till is thoroughly mixed.
  • 7. Stir in the laksa leaves.
  • 8. Serve hot and garnished with hard-boiled egg.

    Just tried this recipe recently, and the laksa noodles turn out quite delicious. My family everyone likes it. First time heard of and eaten laksa goreng. I have rated the recipe 5 stars!
