Tiong Bahru is a place for food lovers. This coffee shop found in Blk 56 at the junction of Tiong Poh Road and Eng Hoon Street is popular for its yong tau fu. It is not surprising that office workers flock to this place for a hearty meal to start their day.
The yong tau fu comes with a mixture of fish ball, toufu, fish paste in bean curd skin, etc… and is served in a bowl of tasty soup with bee hoon… just nice a portion to fill your stomach. The accompanying sauce is simply perfect for the dipping. 😛
Besides the food, another attraction is the setting of this coffee shop. It is nostalgic, 1970’s style… that after satisfying your hungry stomach, it is the perfect place for a cup of kopi or teh and some chit chats with your friends/colleagues. For those who miss the childhood days of coffee shop makan, this is where you can re-live your memories.
