Initial stage when I started to bake cake, it was really a challenge. Every cake that I bake can’t be eaten.  It is either burnt, too oily or too hard.    I am not an expert in cake but at times just like to bake cake for my family to enjoy and the ingredients for Milk Vanilla Cake is really simple and easy.   So, do try it when you feel like baking a cake to share with family, friends and colleagues or even during party.

Ingredients

  • 180g butter (do not throw the packaging of the butter)
  • 170g sugar
  • 1 large egg and one large egg yolk
  • 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 200g self-raising flour (sieved)
  • 150g fresh milk

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat the oven at 180 degree celsius.
  • 2. Cream butter and sugar on low speed, until fluffy.
  • 3. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until uniform.
  • 4. Add in flour and milk gradually and beat it till even.
  • 5. Grease the baking pan with melted butter on the paper packaging of butter.
  • 6. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.
  • 7. Leave to cool for about 20 minutes on wire rack.
