Ingredients

20 g Angelica Sinensis (當歸)- sliced
20 g Ligusticum Wallichii (川芎)
60 g Rehmannia Giutinosa (生地、生地黄)
6 pcs Cinnamon (桂皮)
12 pcs Star Anise (八角)
10 ml Clove (丁香)
20 g White Pepper Seeds
15 g Fennel Seeds (茴香)
1 tbsp Fenugreek Seeds (Optional) (葫芦巴种子)
60 g specially selected Chinese tea leaves
10 ml salt
60 ml soy sauce
60 ml black soy sauce
2½ tbsp rock sugar
Water enough to cover the eggs

Instructions

1. Wash eggs thoroughly and boiled the eggs in the pot.
2. Lightly beat the eggshell to get even cracks.
3. Rinse all the dry ingredients.
4. Bring a new pot of water to a boil and put all eggs into the pot and place all dry ingredients on top of the eggs. Turn on low fire and simmer for 2 hours.
5. Add in salt, soy sauce, black soy sauce, rock sugar. Continue to simmer for 1 hour.
6. Turn off fire. Continue to simmer in slow cooker if you want to.
7. Done.
