Ingredients
- 300g sliced batang
- 100g tofu (cut into 1cm by 1cm)
- Dried seaweed
- Evaporated milk
- ** marinate fish
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon soya sauce
- ¼ teaspoon sesame oil
- ½ teaspoon corn flour
- Dashes of pepper
- ** chili
- ½ teaspoon of salted soy bean
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- 3 chilli padi
- 1 teaspoon soya sauce
- ** soup base
- 1400ml water
- 5g dried anchovies ikan bili
- 5g cabbage preserved vegetable
- 20g sliced ginger
- 1 cut tomato
- 1 teaspoon soya sauce
- 1 teaspoon Chinese cooking wine
Instructions
- 1. Marinate fish for at least 30 minutes.
- 2. Prepare chili sauce.
- 3. To prepare the soup - Put dried anchovies and cabbage preserved vegetable into a tea packing paper.
- 4. Bring water to a boil, add in the tea packing paper content and ginger.
- 5. Add in tomato, soya sauce and Chinese cooking wine.
- 6. For soup with milk – Scoop about 250ml - 300ml of soup into a smaller pot. Bring it to boil, add in fish and tofu and 1 tablespoon of milk.
- 7. Serve the fish soup by adding seaweed and a bowl of fragrant rice.
